‘Share A Grin’ campaign a huge success

Grin Natural, the natural and eco-friendly toothbrush company, has officially supplied 50,841 Kiwi kids in need with biodegradable toothbrushes.

The ‘Share A Grin’ initiative ran for 11 weeks and invited customers to purchase any Grin Natural product at New World supermarkets, and for every product purchased Grin would donate an eco-friendly toothbrush to a child who needs it the most. Their goal was to donate a total of 50,000 toothbrushes which they surpassed.

The reason for the campaign was to raise awareness about New Zealand’s most common chronic disease seen in children – tooth decay. There is also a direct correlation between child poverty and dental health.

As well as the buy one, give one promotion; Grin put together online resources and offline activities, which included school visits, to draw awareness around the importance of children’s oral health.

Grin Natural General Manager, Tara Tan says she is absolutely thrilled with the success of the campaign. “I’m extremely proud of how the campaign has gone and hitting the target of 50,000 brushes to donate is a huge achievement. It’s something that would not have been possible without our campaign partners and the support of caring Kiwis getting behind the campaign. The toothbrushes and information packs make a big difference in helping Kiwi kids understand the importance of looking after their teeth, and we are thrilled at the impact this initiative has had.”

The donated toothbrushes will be distributed via local charities and organisations selected by New World, school events and through Eat My Lunch.
