Beauty eds reveal what they’re loving right now

The life of a beauty editor is definitely not without its perks – from a bottomless beauty arsenal and luxurious treatments to glamorous launches and being the first in the country to trial products. That said, when recommending products is your job, trialling is of the upmost importance. However, finishing a product is what really counts.

Every so often beauty editors come across an absolute standout that they use down to its very last drop. We asked the beauty eds to tell us what they just can’t get enough of right now.

“Being a beauty editor, I’m obsessive about protecting my skin from the sun and evangelical about great sunscreens! This year I’m loving ’s newbies: for my body, as it’s light, quick to apply and rubs in instantly without feeling greasy and which I also use on my young son’s face and he has sensitive skin and tolerates this one well.”

Amy Houlihan - Woman’s Day

“I'm addicted to Benefit Hoola Matte Bronzer Bronzer. I've been known to get carried away with luminising products, so the matte finish of this powder is the perfect, natural-looking shade I can build on. On a non-beauty note, I’m obsessed with the . Living with two pre-schoolers and their highly allergic father means my Christmas tree is sadly of the faux variety. So, thankfully I can still get my fix of that festive pine scent!”

Ashleigh Coldicutt – Remix

“This winter, my lips suffered big time. A lack of water and a rigorous workout regimen left my lips super dehydrated, and the Be Happy Lip Balm (in combination with drinking more h20) was a total God send. Come the first day of summer, I always switch out my signature scent for something more fun and floral. This year I’m obsessed with Narciso Rodriguez Fleur Musc For Her Eau de Parfum – a sensuous blend of pink flowers, rare musc and woody amber notes.”

Erin Berryman – Good Health AUS/NZ

“This in between phase of the year in an awkward one. It lends itself to shorter hemlines but at the same time you haven’t quite developed that sun kissed glow (I’m still translucent from winter!), which means a good fake tan is a staple in my beauty cabinet. I am OBSESSED with the Luxe Dry Tanning Oil , it’s just launched and I’m addicted. It’s the only instant tan I’ve found that literally resembles the real deal. Everyone has been asking if I’ve been on holiday! I usually do a coat on Thursdays, which I prep for with a scrub. My absolute favourite is the Pure Fiji New Zealand Coconut Lime Blossom Sugar Rub infusion. It smells like summer and is gritty enough to remove last week’s tan remnants but still super nourishing.”

Bronte Chaperon – Now To Love

“I love ’s at the moment. My hair is extremely curly, dry and frizzy naturally (please don’t be jealous) so when summer rolls around nourishing my hair is my top priority. From the mid-lengths down I apply two pumps of this crème as my hair is very thick. It gets straight to work soothing my frizz and makes my curls hydrated and bouncy, which anyone with curls will know is a mission.”

Tracy Davis – New Zealand Woman’s Weekly

“'s is a must for summer. I go through tubes and tubes of sunscreen but this is one of my favourites, which I count on for giving my skin superb protection from both the sun and pollution.”

Tamsin Marshall – Simply You & NEXT

“I'm loving Clinique with light reflecting qualities. At this time of year when I'm burning the candle at both ends my skin needs all
