beautyheaven set to launch in New Zealand

Get excited beauty addicts – Australia’s biggest beauty community is coming soon to New Zealand.

At last night’s annual Best in Beauty Awards, Bauer Media Group announced the impending launch of beautyheaven - Australia’s largest and most comprehensive beauty review database.

The site combines consumer-generated content with high-quality beauty and health journalism, as well as the latest news, tips and advice. Whether it’s advice on how to solve a blind pimple or a round-up of the 10 best foundations as tested by consumers, beautyheaven is undeniably the go-to source for Australian women looking for answers to their beauty problems or to conduct pre-shop research.

“beautyheaven is Australia’s number one consumer beauty site, reaching over one million beauty addicts every month and boasting over 252,000 reviews on beauty and health products,” said Amber Robinson, general manager of beautyheaven Australia, at last night’s awards.

“In the second half of Q3 we will be launching beautyheaven NZ, a localised version of a winning online model. We already have 30,000 New Zealanders accessing the site each month, a number we hope to grow to 100,000 within six months by investing in a half a million dollar national advertising campaign,” Robinson continued.

The new beauty platform will create one hero beauty brand in the New Zealand market and further solidify Bauer Media’s ownership of the beauty space. Content will be unique, inspiring, educational and informative with social media and influencers playing an integral role in the go-to-market plans.

“You can expect to see beautyheaven branding integrated into editorial pages throughout our print and online portfolio and our existing beauty editors contributing to the site through a unique hubbed editorial model, alongside a dedicated Beauty Heaven team,” explained Jacquie Fraser, digital sales manager at Bauer.

beautyheaven’s successful model lies in its research-based premise - that consumers are far more likely to buy products reviewed by real people. For brands involved, they’ll have access to a strong community of New Zealand women for sampling and reviews, as well as the opportunity to utilise a tried-and-tested dinkus on packaging and in store.

“For brands, this means, more reach, more awareness, better targeting and greater ability to be front of mind when your customer is web-grooming your product prior to purchase,” she added.
