After seven years running, Bauer Media Group has announced an update to their much-anticipated annual Best in Beauty Awards.
The Best in Beauty Awards are New Zealand’s largest beauty exclusive awards dedicated to recognising excellence in the beauty category. Bauer Media NZ is the country’s largest magazine publisher, and with the highest-selling women’s titles under their stable of brands, they are indisputably the leaders in women’s lifestyle.
Late last year, Bauer Media launched beautyheaven New Zealand – a localised version of the distinguished Australian editorial and reviews platform. Alongside the launch, a streamlined, dedicated beauty hub was rolled out across editorial. The new structure encompasses category experts with in-depth specialised knowledge and insights across makeup, skincare, fragrance, body & health and hair.

As Bauer’s chief beauty brand and the ultimate destination for beauty-obsessed New Zealand women, beautyheaven is the natural fit to champion the awards. From voting to winner announcements, the site will be your go-to source for the lowdown on New Zealand’s Best in Beauty.
No submissions this year
“Together, our editors test it all – receiving every lipstick, cleanser, serum, lotion, shampoo and oil to hit the market. There is no one that knows beauty better than our experts. So this year, our team will spend the next month vetting their beauty cabinets to narrow down the nominees,” says a statement from Bauer Media.
Nominated brands will be notified by the beauty team prior to voting on beautyheaven going live. As always, winners will be voted for by the public.
There will be new categories
As we know, beauty is always changing - innovation is happening at a furious pace, niche brands now boast army-like followings that rival the giants and sustainability and inclusivity are front of mind. To keep up with the play, beautyheaven will be refreshing the categories with new and exciting awards.
Digital only awards
“Rather than having an industry event this year, our focus will be on supercharging the awards - and of course the winners - via our digital channels straight to consumers.”

Voting is expected go live early May.
