Natura finalises its acquisition of The Body Shop

Today, the Brazillian leader in the cosmetics industry, Natura has confirmed the acquisition of from L’Oreal. This union will create a global, purpose-driven, multibrand cosmetics group by bringing together three strong brands - Natura, The Body Shop and Aesop. A combined commitment to ethical business practices, sustainability and positive social impact.

The transaction will lead to a group with an expanded footprint with a broad geographic presence in key markets. Together, the three brands have operations in 69 countries, more than 17,000 employees, 3,200 stores, with a strong network of franchisees, a sales force of 1.8 million independent sales representatives and an extensive product portfolio covering a broad range of categories.

Guilherme Leal, co-chairman of the Board of Directors of Natura, declared: “We are thrilled to welcome The Body Shop to the Natura group. This alliance creates a combination of companies that share a common purpose that goes way beyond usual businesses. A new force for good is taking shape”.
