A landmark year for digital advertising in Australia and the US

Online ad spending grew a massive 23% in the US last year to $US32.03 billion and is expected to pass print for the first time this year. A similar surge happened in Australia, according to Standard Media Index, with digital advertising increasing 20.6% to $875.1 million.

That's where the two countries parted ways somewhat.
