The no.1 brand in Oz for social media engagement

Social media is a monster, granted, but it offers endless possibilities for a brand if done correctly. One brand which has clearly managed to tame the beast is online fashion retailer Beginning Boutique - it’s just been named the number one brand in Australia for social media engagement.

Beating the likes of Audi Australia and BMW Australia, Beginning Boutique topped the list for its success in social media engagement, impact and responsiveness. The retailer has over 442,000 followers on Instagram and more than 500,000 likes on Facebook.

The list was put together by Engagement Labs, which provides an independent overall measure of performance and effectiveness on a social media channel determined by a patented algorithm. The measurement is benchmarked against a database of 50,000 verified brand accounts.

"Having a 50/50 split of branded and non-branded content is what I have found works best for BB,” Beginning Boutique director Sarah Timmerman told Ragtrader. "Our followers want to see amazing holiday destinations, delicious food and hot guys as well as our latest collection, current promotions and behind-the-scenes at BB."
