Who: Akira

When: 5:00pm, May 17. The Box, Carriageworks.

Hair: Richard Cavanagh for

Hair look: “The hair has been inspired by Akira’s incorporation of gender-neutral garments. It’s not androgynous, it’s very fluid in that there is no gender. We’ve taken that idea and adhered it to the hair, so that it is gender-neutral with no beginning and no end. It’s just form that allows you to get behind the facade of glamour to the real beauty underneath. We’ve used a lot of pins, Powder Grip, and strong-hold hairspray to keep the look intact."

Make-up: Izumi Onuma for

Make-up look: “I drew inspiration from Akira being Japanese - it’s the modern day Japanese woman. Instead of a traditional black line along the eye we’ve gone for white. It’s the first time that Akira has used white in his collection and to accompany only four will wear a bright red lip. As for skin, it's all about beautiful hydrated, natural looking skin with brushed up brows."
