Who: Ten Pieces
When: 8 pm, May 19. Studio 5, Fox Studios.

Male hair: Aiden Xydis for evo

Male hair look: “The men’s hair look is apocalyptic, like they’ve just come out of the dessert and have sand and dust in it. I’m dousing all the hair in haze just to make it a bit matte and dry. haze is a styling powder, like a dry shampoo but is a bit more intense and gritty. I’m putting in as much haze as the hair can take without it getting too gritty where it can’t be controlled.”

Female hair: Renya Xydis for Cloud Nine

Female hair look: “We did a video four weeks ago and the theme was all dusty and rugged - we did it in the sand dunes and it was a bit Mad Max-ish. We’re going to bring an editorial element of that into the show. We’re using Cloud Nine’s large wide iron on the hair and curling it, straightening it, curling it, straightening it and putting some evo haze in the hair so it looks like they’ve just come out of the dessert.”

Make-up: Carol Mackie for

Make-up look: "Tonight’s make-up look is a little bit theatrical, but not in the sense that it’s overly made-up. The look is as though the girls have been coming through the dessert and caught the sun, they’ve got a flush across the nose - almost like a little bit of sunburn. They’re quite dry like they have been trekking through the dessert and are dehydrated - so it’s not an overly pretty look. We’re using the Studio Fix Loose Powder to give the girls that really matte finish that is quite satin. We’re also using Matte Texture through the brows and creating a boy brow. It’s not a conditioned lip. We’re dusting a bit of colour across the bridge of the nose and the cheeks to give a sun tanned look from being in the dessert, and then using powder on top.”
