2015’s top 20 product launches

It’s important to stand out from the pack, particularly within an industry like beauty. It’s a world that is inundated with the ‘latest and greatest’ new discovery weekly, with a growing list of products that can be difficult to navigate for the average consumer, let alone the media.

With hundreds of new products landing on the desks of beauty editors this year alone, BD has collected the top 20 innovative launches of 2015:

1. Benefit They’re Real! Push-Up Liner
Why: Gel eyeliner is now available in pen-form with Benefit’s matte variation, which comes complete with an AccuFlex angled tip to help perfect that cat eye. The product also features a fool-proof twist and click feature to dispense the waterproof formula.

2. Bondi Sands Liquid Gold
Why: This year has seen the popularity of oils boom, with the tanning market no exception. Bondi Sands launched its first tanning oil with Liquid Gold, a product which glides on with ease, dries instantly and (perhaps most importantly) doesn’t require washing off.

3.  Veet Spawax

6. Aveda Shampure Dry Shampoo

7. bhave Gun Powder
Why: What really makes bhave Gun Powder Matte Styling Dust memorable is not the product itself, (which does successfully add fullness and texture to different hair types) but its design - the unique wand delivers an exact amount of product to the hair and makes depositing it easy.

8. Ultraceuticals Ultra UV Protective Daily Shield SPF 50+
Why: With a 100 per cent mineral base and synthetic fragrance, the Ultra UV Protective Daily Shield SPF 50+ is a tinted facial sunscreen. The paraben-free product is designed to nourish skin whilst protecting it thanks to the inclusion of shea butter and vitamin B5.

15. frank body body cream
Expanding on the success of its coffee-based scrubs, frank body launched its own body cream. Formulated with the brand’s hero ingredient - this time in seed extract - the formula combines shea, cacao butters and coconut oil to nourish inflamed skin, and repair sun damage and stretch marks.

16. Australis No Glove No Love Tanning Exfoliation and Application Mitt 3pk
