The new health blog set to impress

It only launched last week, but the health blog has already got people talking. Launched by Biancardi in conjunction with her e-cookbook, Taste Primal, the website educates individuals on improving their health. Having racked up over 19,500 followers on Instagram, this is one blog worth taking a sneak peek at.

Here, we talk to Biancardi about launching a blog, getting started in the industry, and her recipe for success.

Congratulations on the launch of your new blog. Can you tell me a bit about it?
It has been an amazing journey, and I am extremely excited to be able to share my message. My new blog is about sharing my passions with the world. My mission is to empower women to make better choices about their health. On my blog, you will find fitness and food inspiration, healthy recipes and the story of my own health journey.

Why did you decide to launch a blog?
It was pretty simple: I wanted to help more women improve their health, and I couldn’t do that with just an Instagram account.

You were working on Paleo Princesses with your sister. What made you want to go out on your own?
My message is a lot broader than just food. I wanted to take a more holistic approach to health. While I am a big fan of the paleo diet, I have also used fitness and mindset training to heal myself, which something which I want to share with the world.

Will your new blog still have a strong paleo focus?
Yes I will. I have just released an e-cookbook, Taste Primal, so it’s obvious that I am still interested in ancestral eating. However, we seem to be putting labels and brands on diets these days. For me, it’s just about eating amazing wholefoods and steering clear from processed foods, just like we are designed to.

How did you get into blogging?
To be honest, it really stemmed from my partner, Drew. He encouraged me to start my own blog as it enabled me to reach and help more people.

Do you and Drew work together on projects?
Drew is a calisthenics trainer and really interested in health and performance. We are always working on projects together. At the moment he is teaching me how to handstand! Currently, Drew and I are working on my 30 Day Health Kick Program, to be released February 16.

What were you doing before becoming a blogger?
I was and (still am) studying to become a chiropractor. Apart from that, you will find me in the kitchen. My absolute passion and favourite thing to do in this world is to cook really wholesome food. I love it. I could do it all day, every day.

How did you get started in the health industry?
It just happened naturally. After working in the corporate world, I quickly realised that it wasn’t for me. I needed to do something that I believed in.

Have you always had a passion for health?
I was the kid at school who played 10 different sports. From a very young age, I always loved exercise. My passion for healthy food has developed over the last five years.

Can you describe your average day?
I am big on routine. My standard day usually looks like this:
-       6am: Wake up, write down my goals for the day, drink big glass of lemon water, and exercise for 30 minutes to an hour.
-       8am: Drink coffee with Drew and enjoy a delicious  homemade breakfast.
-       9am-1pm: Work.
-       1pm onwards: Develop recipes, write blogs and do any creative work.
-       7pm: Cook and have some family time.
-       9pm: Turn the lights out and go to sleep. I have to get eight hour of shut-eye.

What is your recipe for success?
Never, ever give up. It is that simple.

What are your top five health tips?
1.     Write down your goals every single day.
2.     Start the day with a nice big glass of warm water and the juice from half a lemon.
3.     Focus on what you eat. It makes the biggest difference.
4.     Move at least 15 minutes a day.
5.     Take time to yourself. I call it “Madeleine Time”.
