The Indie Beauty Expo was founded by founded by celebrity esthetician, Jillian Wright, and entrepreneur, Nader Naeymi-Rad, in 2015 to "recognise, showcase and celebrate independent beauty brands and to support the growth and success of the entrepreneurs behind them."
The expo started in New York and has since expanded to L.A, Dallas, London and later this year, Berlin. Each event aims to help buyers, press, consumers and investors interact with independent beauty brands.
The IBE 'Best in Show' awards consist of 30 categories from best moisturiser to best clean ingredient brand. A panel of professional beauty experts evaluated the products that were selected from exhibitors at the IBE shows across the four 2018 locations (L.A, Dallas, New York and London).
