Tried & tested: Travel essentials

This week the BD team put some travel essentials to the test...

Batiste Dry Shampoo, Luxe, Travel Size – Georgie
What it is: A few quick bursts of this product will help hair look clean and fresh with added body and texture. No water required!
My experience: I went to the launch of this dry shampoo earlier this year and loved it from first use. It has a really sophisticated scent and is so effective at absorbing oil from my hair. A travel size product when taking a trip is a no brainer and this one is definitely coming with me to Melbourne later this week. A must for anyone as addicted to dry shampoo as I am

GHD Travel Hair dryer – Zoe
What it is: travel hair dryer is perfect for styling on the go.
My experience: This hairdryer is so compact and easy for travel! For the size it’s surprisingly powerful and works just like my full size hair dryer at home thanks to a powerful professional motor. The foldable handle and luxurious black travel case means it won’t take up too much space in your suitcase making this product an absolute must-have if hotel hairdryers just don’t do the job.

MOR Destination Paris Fold-Out Traveller – Tiarne
What it is: a travel bag.
My experience: I used this travel bag recently while housesitting and it was perfect for storing all my essentials. I used one side for makeup and the other side for cosmetics, and everything was very easy to reach when needed. The compartments provided plenty of space, and the bag could even be folded to become more compact. On top of all this, it is super stylish, waterproof and easy to carry around. I would definitely recommend it!

Blessed by Nature Hydrating Facial Mist Toner –  Rach
What it is: A toner that will soothe, tone and refine the skin.
My experience: The non-drying formula enriched with witch hazel, rose water, calendula, sweet orange and green tea, felt revitalising and soothing on my skin. It smells really natural and fresh, and I love that it works to reduce blemishes and prevent bacterial growth - essential whilst travelling and going through changes of environment. This toner is now a staple and will be coming with me on all my trips!

Mary Kay TimeWise® Vitamin C Activating Squares™ – Tash
What it is: Vitamin C activating squares that boost any Mary Kay(R) serum with pure vitamin C.
My experience: These are the perfect travel product to boost efficacy without lugging around another huge product to add to your routine! You simply activate the vitamin C squares by dissolving between your palms and apply for a more radiant, even-toned complexion. The perfect revival after a long-haul flight!

Nutrimetics Nutri-Rich Oil – Laura
What it is: A highly concentrated moisturiser that supplements the skin’s oil supply and improves it’s ability to hold moisture.
My experience: I enjoyed using this moisturiser as it smelt lovely and went on smoothly. I applied it morning and night so I could get the full benefits of apricot kernel oil, carrot oil and vitamin E supplements. It left my skin feeling softer and extremely hydrated which was fabulous during these winter months.

Scholl GelActiv Insoles for Women: Flat Shoes – Grace
What it is: insoles designed for narrow style flat shoes to provide extra cushioning and shock absorption under the heels for lighter feeling feet all day.
My experience: Whenever I’m travelling what I end up doing the most (right after eating and shopping) is walking! These Insoles are the perfect answer to anyone who wants to avoid the tourist sneaker and instead wear your usual flats without the discomfort. Like walking on little clouds I absolutely loved having these in; I’ve since put the entire range in all of my shoes – from ballet flats to heels.
