The desk edit: What's landed on our desks this month

Welcome to The Desk Edit – a monthly series where the BEAUTYDIRECTORY team shares the standout products we genuinely rate.

From skincare saviours and makeup must-haves to signature fragrances and hair heroes, every recommendation is grounded in real use and honest opinion.

Below, we break down why these new launches have earned a place in our routines – and why they might deserve a spot in yours, too.

CIRCA Cotton Flower & Freesia Soy Candle ($44.95 at CIRCA)
– Samantha Azar, Campaign Executive

"This CIRCA candle has quickly become one of my go-to home essentials! The Cotton Flower & Freesia scent is beautifully soft and fresh, with just the right balance of clean floral notes that are never overpowering, yet still enough to gently fill the room. I love how evenly it burns and how long it lasts; it feels like a luxe treat that I can enjoy over time. The soy wax gives a clean burn, and the fragrance throw is impressive without being heavy. The design is also stunning – simple, modern, and perfect for leaving out as décor. Lighting this candle feels like a small luxury. It makes my space feel polished, cosy, and peaceful, and I often get compliments on how lovely it smells. If you enjoy soft, airy fragrances that make your home feel fresh and serene, this candle is an absolute must-have."

Wella SP Luxe Oil Reconstructive Elixir Hair Oil ($63 at Adore Beauty)
– Issy Webster, Head of Implementation

"This offering from Wella Professionals is the holy grail of all hair oils! If you struggle with frizz, this keratin oil is a must-have for providing long-lasting smoothness and hydration. Washing my hair is a love/hate relationship – I love the feeling of clean hair; however, I hate the frizz that comes with it. I apply this oil to my hair as needed to smooth flyaways. The oil reconstructs the hair fibres, leaving my hair manageable and shiny while taming frizz. The best part is the scent – it’s sweet and truly divine, like you’ve just left the salon."

DU’IT Tough Hands ($13.95 at Chemist Warehouse)
– Aja Walter, BEAUTYDIRECTORY's Digital Editor

"DU’IT's Tough Hands has become an absolute essential in my routine, especially when my hands are feeling dry and irritated as we head into the cooler weather. I wash my hands frequently, which can leave them feeling tight and stripped, but this cream has made such a difference. It’s rich without feeling greasy, and once applied, it creates a protective barrier that keeps my hands soft and comfortable throughout the day. I’ve noticed a visible improvement in dryness and texture after just a few uses, which is so impressive for a hand cream. The formula feels quite intensive, but it absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave that sticky residue some hand creams do. What I love most is how low-maintenance it is. I don’t need to constantly reapply it, and it actually feels like it’s treating my skin rather than just sitting on top of it. It’s simple, effective, and does exactly what it says on the bottle."

Peppr Beauty SCULPT+STAIN Lip Liner Marker ($34 at Peppr Beauty)
– Samantha Azar, Campaign Executive

"The Peppr Beauty SCULPT+STAIN Lip Liner Marker is a holy grail in my routine! I’ve tried many lip stains on the market, and this is by far my favourite. Not only does it last up to 12 hours, but it’s also such a versatile product. The marker-style tip makes the application so precise and easy, even when I’m in a rush. I love how effortlessly it defines my lips and gives me that naturally sculpted look without appearing harsh or heavy. The formula is lightweight and buildable, almost like it melts into the lips, and once it sets, it genuinely stays put. I can wear it alone for a soft, natural stain or pair it with gloss without worrying about smudging or fading. The shade Rich is especially beautiful – it adds warmth and depth while still looking very natural on lips. What I appreciate most is how low-maintenance it is, and I don’t need constant touch-ups throughout the day, especially in the office. This has quickly become a staple in my makeup bag and something I reach for daily."

QV Ceramides Lotion ($14.49 at Chemist Warehouse)
– Issy Webster, Head of Implementation

"I recently had a dermatitis flare-up, so I went back to basics. My routine has been simple, consisting of a face wash and QV Ceramides Lotion to help heal and replenish the skin barrier. Just quietly, going back to basics has been the best thing! This lotion is lightweight, meaning it absorbs quickly. Formulated with three ceramides, the lotion is gentle, helping to support the barrier and protect against environmental irritants. It also keeps your skin hydrated, which is a must, especially as we move into the cooler months."

BYOMA Bio-Collagen Radiance Facial Mask ($33 at Sephora
– Aja Walter, BEAUTYDIRECTORY's Digital Editor

"If your algorithm is anything like mine, you’ve been seeing the new BYOMA Bio-Collagen Radiance Facial Mask pop up all over your FYP. So when the mask landed on my desk, I was very intrigued – and wow, it instantly revived my skin! The gel texture feels cooling and luxurious upon application, melting seamlessly onto the skin before setting into a refined peel-off veil. There’s no discomfort or tightness, just a gentle, cocooning effect that feels deeply restorative. Once removed, my skin looks visibly plumper, smoother, and more radiant, as if it’s been professionally treated. It’s the perfect pre-event step when I want my skin to look fresh, luminous, and camera-ready with minimal effort. This is one of those viral products that earns a permanent place in your top-shelf rotation."
