Celine is officially launching into beauty

For the first time in nearly 80 years, luxury fashion brand, Celine is venturing into the beauty industry with a new makeup collection.

The announcement was unveiled by Hedi Slimane, the brand's artistic and image director, during the 'La Collection de l’Arc de Triomphe' event in Paris.

Celine Beauté is set to make its first debut later this year, with a unique lipstick shade, 'Rouge Triomphe'. The lipstick is a take on the iconic French red lipstick with a luxurious satin-finish formula, featuring a blend of rose and rice powder scents.

The offering will be packaged in a sleek, art deco-inspired gold casing decorated with the brand’s signature couture monogram.

This launch is an expansion of Celine’s acclaimed Haute Parfumerie collection that debuted in 2019, with plans to broaden the Le Rouge Celine lipstick range to include 15 shades by 2025. Among these will be 'La Peau Nue', a rosy nude tone showcased by models during the autumn/winter 2024 presentation. See Below:

“The creation of Celine Beauté comes to enrich the cultural roots, promoting a French idea of femininity and allure, distilled over the last five years by Hedi Slimane in his new institutional codes for the Maison Celine,” the house said in the statement.

Celine Beauté is set to grow beyond lipsticks, with Slimane curating new seasonal collections including lip balms, mascaras, eyeliners, powders, and nail polishes.
