Shiseido wins Tory Burch beauty license

Effective January 1 2020, Shiseido will be responsible for developing, marketing and distributing Tory Burch beauty products worldwide. The personal care company has taken over the licensing deal from Estée Lauder.

American brand, Tory Burch, is most known for its collections of women's shoes, accessories, watches and homeware, but under the license of Estée Lauder, it also developed a line of fragrances and body care.

“We are thrilled to be partnering Shiseido," said Burch. “There are great synergies between our companies including a deep respect and connection to our customers, a passion to support women’s empowerment and an aligned long-term strategic vision.”

Speaking about future endeavours in the industry, Burch said: “I’m very interested in the idea of skin, skin care, and what does that mean as far as beauty and makeup is concerned.

“We haven’t explored exactly what potential, and what it will look [like] for us as a partnership, but the initial conversations over the last several months have been very inspiring of what it could possibly mean.”
