What’s landed on our desks: Fall face masks

The skin saviours keeping our complexion glowing as the days get gloomy.

DECIEM NIOD Flavanone Mud – Caitlin
What it is: A mud mask that eliminates surface impurities, including oil, water-soluble pollution, cosmetic build-up and excess sebum. It also helps prevent against environmental congestion.
My experience: This face mask did a great job of thoroughly cleansing my super oily, acne-prone skin. After removing the mask, my skin temporarily stung, but nothing I couldn’t handle and of course we all know, beauty is pain.

What it is: A moisturising and soothing mask for sensitive and intolerant skin.
My experience: Recently my skin has been a little inflamed and bumpy from the change in weather but this mask seemed to calm everything down a treat! It’s incredibly light and soft, almost like a moisturiser, so would be excellent for people with even the most sensitive skin.

The Body Shop Ethiopian Honey Deep Nourishing Mask – Steph
What it is: A 100 per cent vegan face mask featuring community trade Ethiopian honey, marula oil from Namibia and organic Italian olive oil that work together to deeply nourish skin.
My experience: This replenishing mask (which looks and feels just like honey) is exactly what my dry skin needs in-between seasons! The blend of super nourishing ingredients really comforted and hydrated my skin leaving it looking really supple – while feeling so smooth and soft! I’m looking forward to keeping this mask as an important part of my winter skin routine.

L’Oreal Paris Pure Clay Detoxifying + Brightening Charcoal Mask – Aja
What it is: A creamy face mask enriched with black charcoal that helps to detoxify and brighten the complexion.
My experience: Acting like a magnet, this mask draws out all the impurities hiding under the surface of the skin. Call me crazy, but there is something so satisfying about seeing all the nasties kicking it to the curb with this mask!

Skin Republic 2 Step Brightening Vitamin C + Collagen Face Mask Sheet – Issy
What it is: A 2 step sheet mask that works to brighten and even skin tone. The microdermabrasion assists in exfoliating dead skin cells, which helps the skin absorb the Vitamin C and collagen.
My experience: This sheet mask is drenched in serum, making it easy to apply while feeling super hydrating on the skin. Before applying I cleansed and then used the exfoliant which felt like a microbrasion. The two-steps worked well together and after removing the mask my skin looked smooth, hydrated and bright.

Sukin Multi-Masking Kit – Zoe
What it is: Sukin Multi-Masking Kit is a skin care pack that contains the Oil Balancing Anti-Pollution Facial Masque (50mL) and Hydrating Facial Masque (50mL). Multi-masking allows customised treatment to suit the different requirements and concerns across the face.
My experience: The Oil Balancing Anti-Pollution Masque gave me a healthy glow, while limiting shine and reducing the visible appearance of my pores. The Hydrating Facial Masque felt amazing on my skin and left it feeling super hydrated afterwards. These work so well together and my total complexion was left looking and feeling refreshed and radiant.
