The acquisition of Tailor Maid Communications

Full service creative agency, Bashful, has acquired a 50% stake of Tailor Maid Communications, one of Australia’s leading fashion, beauty and lifestyle PR agencies.

Tailor Maid Communications was founded in 2006 by Sally Brown and Chrissy Biasotto, who will remain as directors of the agency. As part of the acquisition, Tailor Maid Communications has undergone a rebrand, launching with a new name, TMC, and a fresh aesthetic, including a new logo and website.

TMC specialises in publicity, influencer, media relations, events, celebrity and influencer management and social media management. The Bashful acquisition will allow TMC to offer greater strategy, design and social services.

The partnership launches with the first joint client win in Laser Clinics Australia. The agency has been engaged to work with them across brand, retail, public relations, influencer management and social creative services.

TMC director, Chrissy Biasotto, said of the partnership:  “We have a history of working with the team at Bashful, we know each other’s businesses and we’re a strong cultural fit. Through this partnership we will also be able to give our team further opportunity to widen their knowledge and experience, building the strength of our combined offer.”

According to TMC director, Sally Brown, the collaboration is also expected to strengthen TMC’s position in the market.

“Our agency needed a larger team with a broader skill set, offering our clients an agency with the full-service package,” she said.

“We are very excited to team up with TMC,” Bashful CEO, Simon Bookallil, added. “They will join Bashful and Smile under the Bashful Group banner, providing a PR extension to both Bashful and Smile. We will then work together to offer full service to all of our clients.”

TMC has relocated to the new Bashful House offices, located in Potts Point (pictured in images).
