Website hunts for new editor

Digitally focused news website Mashable has announced it is on the hunt for a new editor following the departure of Jen Ryall.

Ryall will be moving to New York to join the company’s American team as senior editor. Previously working for news.com.au and Yahoo7, Ryall has been with Mashable since 2014 when it first launched Down Under.

Mashable Australia is now searching for Ryall’s replacement, who will be responsible for “building, leading and growing Mashable’s editorial operation in Australia” according to the advertisement. It continues: “The Australia Editor is a self-starter who understands the needs of a growing digital news operation, who is collaborative by nature and who can work well with other journalists and digital developers.”
