Rihanna gets rebellious

Rihanna has revealed the name of her second scent, Rebelle by Rihanna.

Set to launch in early December at Macy’s department store, the fragrance is expected to generate sales equalling 70 per cent of her first scent – .  While Reb’l Fleur is described as a darker scent, Rebelle has a sexier smell.

Rebelle is packaged in a variation of the original bottle and is classified as a gourmand chypre, created by Caroline Sabas and Marypierre Julien at Givaudan.

The scent has top notes of strawberry, ginger and plum, middle notes of cacao absolute, vanilla orchid and heliotrope and base notes of coffee, patchouli, musk and amber.

Parlux Fragrances chairman and chief executive officer Fred Purches has revealed that on top of her second fragrance, the company is planning to eventually launch a Rihanna men’s scent.

Rebelle will launch into the Australian market on February 12 next year.
