The Estée Lauder Companies celebrates major milestone

The Estée Lauder Companies is celebrating a major milestone this October – marking 30 years since the launch of its iconic Breast Cancer Campaign.

Thirty years ago, people around the world were dying from breast cancer and knowledge surrounding the disease was limited – there was no Pink Ribbon, research was underfunded, and there was not an understanding of the complexities behind this disease.

In 1992, Evelyn H. Lauder co-created the Pink Ribbon and launched The Estée Lauder Companies’ Breast Cancer Campaign, inspiring a global movement around its mission to help create a breast cancer-free world for all.

Just one year later, in 1993, Evelyn Lauder founded the Breast Cancer Research Foundation® (BCRF), the campaign's leading non-profit organisation partner dedicated to advancing the world’s most promising research to eradicate breast cancer.

Each year, in addition to donating proceeds of the limited-edition Pink Ribbon products across the company's portfolio of brands to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, The Estée Lauder Companies is also the proud corporate partner of several other breast cancer organisations, including Look Good Feel Better, Breast Cancer Network Australia, and the breast cancer arm of the Garvan Institute of Medical Research.

Together, The Estée Lauder Companies’ Breast Cancer Campaign and The Estée Lauder Companies Charitable Foundation have funded more than $108 million globally for lifesaving research, education and medical services, with more than $86 million funding medical research grants through BCRF.

The initiative is a true testament to ELC’s legacy as a beauty inspired, values driven company that places people, positive impact and inclusivity at the heart of everything that they do.

For 2022, six of The Estée Lauder Companies’ beauty brands are supporting the mission to create a breast cancer-free world, with funds raised through product sales going to the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF).

This year, the Pink Ribbon limited-edition releases include:
