News Corp launches new content agency and more

News Corp has launched a new full-service digital content marketing agency – SUDDEN.ly.

Announced at the publisher's Come Together News Futures event, News Corp executive director of content marketing Simon Smith, explained that SUDDEN.ly will operate as a dedicated digital newsroom for brands, provide customers with insights, art and creativity to drive results on client-owned media channels.

Smith will lead the agency and said at the recent event: “The launch of SUDDEN.ly heralds a new era – united under a new, national trade position where we’re combining content intelligence with storytelling expertise.

“We know that for many marketers, building and retaining audiences takes time, money and resources so we are set up to do the heavy lifting and tell those stories on behalf of our clients.”

The content marketing agency is part of an entire suite of new commercial initiatives for News Corp. Others include: the News Native Network, a premium native network that allows branded content to reach all of News Corp’s audiences; News Connect Customer Match, an extension of its existing audience targeting platform that allows brands to upload their own data to match their customers with News Corp audiences; a new data partnership with Ticketek Entertainment Group; NEWSamp, a rebranding of the publisher's integrated solutions sales team; and the expansion Food Corp with delicious.TRAVEL, Studio delicious, Aisle Watch and the Food Corp Talent Network.

“We are Australia’s trusted storytellers and our ability to leverage that capability for our clients is what distinguishes us from other media companies,” News Corp COO Damian Eales said at the event. “Our future digital network is unrivalled in terms of the richness of our targeting capability and the leadership position we have across the content verticals that matter to advertisers."
