A first for Gritty Pretty

In a first for Gritty Pretty, the digital magazine has launched a special sustainability issue.

The issue, which is out now, is guest edited by the title's sustainability editor, Lottie Dalziel, and features cover star, actress and environmentalist, Nathalie Kelley.

"I am honoured to have been invited to guest edit this special sustainability issue of Gritty Pretty Magazine," said Dalziel.

"I never anticipated that in just a couple of years, sustainability would surge to the forefront of conversations so much so that I’d be invited to work on an entire magazine dedicated to it – and I want to thank editor-in-chief, Eleanor Pendleton, for the opportunity."

"I didn’t envisage (although I did hope) that brands would evolve to give back to our planet and that so many readers, like you, would be hungry to learn how they can build a better future."

Gritty Pretty Magazine editor-in-chief, Eleanor Pendleton, added how important sustainability is to the magazine's readers and why the team decided to launch its first special edition.

"Our readers are extremely savvy, discerning and increasingly they feel immense social responsibility when making their next beauty purchase," said Pendleton.

"They want to support sustainable and environmentally-conscious beauty brands who give back to the Earth and local communities – this is why we wanted to publish a special bonus issue of Gritty Pretty Magazine, which is in addition to our four quarterly issues."

"This issue is jam packed with information from vetted eco beauty products and tackling the issue of animal testing to how the big beauty brands are fighting climate change, this bonus issue explores sustainability within the beauty industry and much, much more," she said.
