Another mag launches and two websites announce changes

North Shore Local, a quarterly magazine covering local news, dining, property, health, and beauty, is delighted to announce its first issue.

The publication is owned by campaign management company, Brand Metrics, and is headed up by managing director, Sharad Goodfella – formerly an executive at Coupon and Daily Deal.

“[The] North Shore is where I began my career and found my passion for marketing, so it is fitting to launch my next project here. Brand Metrics’ new magazine venture, North Shore Local, is a great opportunity to profile local businesses to the community that they serve,” said Goodfella.

Over at News Corp, a formalised partnership between news.com.au and realestate.com.au has commenced.

Effective immediately, the move will see news.com.au house a realestate.com.au module on its site, hosting property news and lifestyle content, while realestate.com.au will house news.com.au content across its buy, rent and sold verticals.

News.com.au general manager, Melissa Overman, said: “Collaboration is important for the business and this partnership is a great example of how we can leverage the strength of News Corp Australia’s network of digital brands.

“It’s a really exciting opportunity to bring these two digital powerhouses together to expand the context and reach of our content. News.com.au’s finance section has the largest Australian audience in the category driven by our unique approach to cost of living and personal finance stories.”

Finally, Australian Business Traveller has relaunched under a new masthead: Executive Traveller.

According to Mumbrella, the change will allow the title to focus more on the global market.

Executive Traveller editor-in-chief, David Flynn, told Mumbrella that his readers are frequent travellers, predominantly in business and first class. They are looking for insights, expert advice and information that makes their travel a more enjoyable experience, he said.

As part of the site redesign, Executive Traveller has added selected destination content to its platform, as well as luxury leisure travel. Louise Wedgwood will be looking after health and wellness. Contact her here.
