Bauer Media CEO, Brendon Hill, has announced this morning that the company has reached an agreement to acquire Pacific Magazines from Seven West Media.
Reaching over 2.5 million Australians every month, Pacific currently publishes the likes of marie claire, Better Homes & Gardens, New Idea, InStyle, Women’s Health and Men’s Health.
In an email to staff, Hill said of the acquisition: "In ANZ and across the world, digital disruption continues and the media landscape is consolidating...By bringing together over 50 leading titles, we will be well placed to invest in the highest quality content, drive innovation and maximise reach and engagement with our audience."
The deal between the two publishers is on track to be finalised by late 2019 or early 2020, subject to regulatory approvals.
