Condé Nast to launch Vogue Poland

Adding to the extensive list of countries that house the Vogue masthead, Condé Nast International has today announced that they will be launching a Polish version of the magazine.

Condé Nast president of new markets and editorial director of brand development, Karina Dobrotvorskaya, gave the announcement to Business of Fashion; specifically, discussing the print-first strategy for the mag’s release. While Dobrotvorskaya acknowledges that the print launch is unorthodox in a world where digital comes first, she also notes that magazines are still endeavouring to provide a tangible experience for readers:

“Condé Nast always believed in local autonomy, in local creativity and relevance of its editions for local readers. Yes, digital is becoming increasingly globalised, but print readers are still looking for a unique experience. So we do believe Poland deserves its own highly creative edition of Vogue which will be different from the other 22 Vogues.

“Polish readers have been waiting for their own edition of Vogue for years now. Rumours that it was about to launch have been rife since I started working in the business 17 years ago.”

Vogue Poland will launch next year, with Filip Niedenthal being titled editor-in-chief and Polish model Malgosia Bela as editor-at-large.
