Over the decades the brand has built up a reputation for being London's bath, body and beauty connoisseurs. Their perfumes, shower gels, body lotions, candles and hand care products blend exotic ingredients with a touch of London eccentricity for bold fragrances and bright colours that stand out on the shelf. You'll now find Molton Brown in five-star hotels, stylish homes and high-end department stores across the world and yet each product is still blended in London, their home since 1973. Molton Brown was actually founded as a hair salon and has become one of the UK's leading upmarket cosmetic firms. Also, what some don’t know, is the name “Molton Brown” comes from a fusion of the street name South Molton Street (where the first store was based) and the boutique Browns, which was owned by the original founder Caroline’s Burstein’s parents.
In February 2013 the brand was awarded the BUAV Leaping Bunny stamp of approval by Cruelty Free International certifying all of the brand’s products to be free from animal tests under the international Humane Standards. Also in that same year Molton Brown was granted a Royal Warrant in recognition of their status as “Supplier of Toiletries” to Her Majesty The Queen – Master of Household.
