Thousands came out over the weekend for the fifth annual ‘Curlfest’ – a beauty festival that takes place in Brooklyn, NY, and is designed to celebrate the natural curls, afros and braids of people of colour. Hosted by the Curly Girl Collective, Curlfest is described as a "Mecca of afros, twist-outs, curls (and beards) set to a soundtrack of positive energy."
