Honouring magazines, initiatives and individuals with journalistic design excellence, imagination and commercial success, this year's Magazine Media Awards saw NZ Life & Leisure take home the big gong.
Awarded the 2015 Magazine of the Year, NZ Life & Leisure was up against stiff competition, with this year attracting an exceptionally high calibre of entries, according to the Magazine Publishers Association. Bauer took home the most wins on 16, followed by Tangible Media on 13, Fairfax Magazines and Kowhai Media both on six, and Heritage New Zealand on one.
"I’ve never known a time in my career where we have such a rapidly and ever-evolving landscape. That inevitably brings its challenges and at times, unquestionably leaves us a little breathless. But can I say to you unequivocally, I’ve never been more confident about our industry and our position in the media world," says Magazine Publishers Association chairman Paul Dykzeul.
