SheSays announces Woman of the Year

Global women's networking group SheSays has announced the first ever winner of its Woman of the Year Award. Renece Brewster who is Visual Domain and Data Creative's CEO and founder, and Girls in Tech Melbourne's marketing manager, picked up the accolade for her outstanding contribution to the creative industries.

The awards program was announced earlier this year and is aimed at women across Australia. It is judged by a panel of male and female industry figures including BWM's creative director Amy Holler, AdNews Australia editor Rosie Baker and Isobar Australia CEO Konrad Spilva, among others, who also decide the winner of two other award categories.

To shine a light on the next generation of creative women, the program also includes a student award for the best idea created in response to a brief set by SheSays. This year it was RMIT Melbourne's Janice Ko and Carissa Putriziandra Finneren who won and both have since been offered an internship at Isobar Melbourne.

In addition, an industry award was presented to Host's junior planner Georgia Patch and junior copywriter Kiah Nicholas for their successful #redefinewomen campaign.
