Almost three thousand hairdressers from around the world gathered over the weekend in Vienna, to attend what is considered one of the most inspiring events for stylists – the Global Zoom Event.
One of the highlights from the weekend was Goldwell’s renowned Colour Zoom Challenge, a competition that sees hairstylists from all over the globe come together to show off their amazing flair with colour. On Sunday, all 91 national finalists from 38 different countries competed live, interpreting the REMIX collection which takes inspiration from Pop art and graphic minimalism.
The winners across three categories – Partner, Creative and New Talent – were announced at the highly anticipated Gala Show. All three demonstrated astounding hairdressing skills:
J Lim from Singapore in the New Talent category – for young, creative colourists with less than five years of professional experience.
Irakli Sardalishvili from Russia in the Creative category – for colour creations done by stylists with more than five years’ experience.
Yuujin Ho from Singapore in the Partner category – for colour creations designed by stylists who have already worked for Goldwell since the last two years at shows or at seminars.
Three other talented stylists were also recognised with the Stylists’ Favourite Award:
Richard Munslow from the UK in the Partner category
Courtney Cairns from the UK in the New Talent category
Lauren Roma Hanlon from the UK in the Creative category
Another big moment was the reveal of Goldwell’s Couture Collection 2020: INTREPID – a unique collection described as fearless, bold and daring.
