BEAUTYDIRECTORY is thrilled to welcome new website assistant Zoe Holloway to the team. Holloway joins BD from OK! where she was editorial coordinator and digital producer and brings with her plenty of experience from the world of publishing. Here's a little more about what her new role will entail:
What were you doing before you joined BD?
I initially moved to Sydney to study criminology and criminal justice at UNSW; however, realising that wasn't for me I switched to media and subsequently landed a job at OK! Magazine as their editorial coordinator and digital producer. Having worked at OK! for a year, which has also recently seen me assist in the induction of their new digital platform Now To Love, I've now stepped into my role here at BEAUTYDIRECTORY and couldn't be more excited.
What will your new role at BD entail?
As the new web assistant here, my role will see me ensuring that the PR and media directories are up to date, as well as handling the influencer network – so if you need any changes made, or have any queries about these areas, I'm your gal. I'll also be sourcing industry news, looking after the BD social channels and assisting in some content production.
What attracted you to the role?
I am a huge beauty nerd and product hoarder, so the content I'd be working with immediately appealed. I also discovered a love for the fast-paced world of digital in my previous role, so the opportunity to work with one of my biggest interests in my preferred medium was too good to pass up.
What are you most looking forward to?
I'm seriously looking forward to potentially finding a product that will tame my wild, dry, curly hair! (Just kidding.. Kind of). But I'm honestly looking forward to being in the beauty loop and getting to work with the people who make up Australia's beauty industry. The industry itself is constantly evolving as technology advances and consumer needs change, so I'm glad that it's looking like no two days will be the same!
