It seems the fashion world favours the bold this year – with unique hair and makeup looks taking centre stage at New York Fashion Week's 2019 fall season.

Bright makeup
Designers have played up beauty looks with bright pops of colour. From eyeshadow to eyeliner, models have donned pink, blue and other equally bright shades – mostly coordinating with outfits and accessories.
Bright hair
Hairstylists haven’t shied away from colour either. Similar to makeup, ultra bright hues are taking the runways by storm. Think shades of blue, yellow, purple and everything in between.
Hair extensions
Hair extensions have become even more mainstream at Fashion Week. Several stylists, including Duffy for Sies Marjan, Guido Palau at Tory Burch, and Yuko Tamura for LaQuan Smith, have embraced the trend.
Hair accessories
Hair accessories, such as large hairclips, ribbons and even hair jewels are all the rage this season. At Area, Jawara Wauchope twisted colourful jewels into the models' hair, creating a uniquely extravagant headpiece.
