Solar Paint dupes because Glossier doesn't ship to Australia

The highly anticipated new release from Glossier is here – say hello to Solar Paint.

The offering marks the cult beauty brand's first foray into bronzers, and although it only dropped on July 21, the internet is already having a major fangirl moment for it.

So, what exactly is Solar Paint? According to Glossier, it's a weightless, almost-whipped bronzing gel-cream, designed to capture the warm glow you get from spending a day in the sunshine – sounds dreamy, if you ask us.

"We wanted skin to look like it was actually kissed by the sun," said Glossier. "Each shade has a touch of luminosity from light-reflecting pearls and a thoughtful balance of warmth and dimension – so your bronzer looks just as natural in broad daylight as it does in your bathroom mirror."

Staying true to the brand's 'you, but better' ethos, Solar Paint is available in four shades and retails for USD$20 for 13mL.

But alas, Glossier still isn't available in Australia.

Never fear, BD is here – and we've put our beauty brain to work and rounded up some mighty fine dupes for you. The application may differ to the Glossier doe-foot brush, but we think we've got the formula and finish spot on.

Think lightweight, gel and cream textures that melt into the skin, leaving you with a dewy glow – umm, yes please!

Without further ado, here are the best Glossier Solar Paint dupes available in Australia:

Revlon SkinLights™ Face Glow Illuminator

This lightweight translucent liquid from Revlon instantly illuminates skin for sun-soaked glimmer. Formulated with refined pigments it provides a smooth, reflective finish for an enhanced glow.

Charlotte Tilbury's lightweight, buildable and blendable Hollywood Contour Wand, leaves you with a natural bronzed finish. The cushion applicator makes creating gorgeous, sculpted cheekbones easy. We wouldn't expect anything less from the queen of glow!

Dr. Hauschka Translucent Bronzing Tint

A translucent bronzing tint, this offering from Dr. Hauschka delivers a healthy, radiant, sun-kissed complexion. Containing tinted mineral pigments, olive oil and extracts of medicinal plants such as anthyllis and witch hazel, the formula expertly blends with each individual skin tone to create a natural fresh glow.

Natasha Denona Puff Paint Liquid Blush Serum

It may be marketed as a blush, but this silky, liquid serum hybrid from NATASHA DENONA provides the perfect pigmentation to achieve an easy, soft glow – especially in the shade, Tan. It allows you to create dimension and depth on cheeks with a 'born-with-it' natural result.

Bourjois Sculpt Bronze Highlighter

Bourjois's bronzing highlighter enhances and illuminates your skin with a shimmery finish. The gel formula, with ultra-fine light reflecting pearls, sculpts facial features and gives you that dreamy sun-kissed look.

CHANEL Healthy Glow Bronzing Cream

A unique lightweight and easy-to-blend cream-gel bronzer, this cult classic from CHANEL leaves skin with a delicate, velvety finish and a natural sun-kissed glow. The generously-sized jar makes it easy to swirl around a kabuki brush, for effortless application across cheeks, nose, forehead, chin and décolleté.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Cream Bronzer

This weightless cream bronzer from Anastasia Beverly Hills stays true to colour and sets itself with a natural, matte finish. It grips to skin with a flexible hold that doesn't streak, patch, oxidise, or smudge the complexion layers underneath.

Ciaté London Dewy Blush

Ciaté London Dewy Blush in Coconut may be a blush offering, but it's the gel-balm texture that is the perfect combo as a subtle bronzer. It has the 'your-skin-but-better' glossy finish, and blends seamlessly.
