Maybelline has appointed a new global makeup artist, Erin Parsons.
The L'Oréal-owned brand nabbed Parsons from Gigi Hadid, as she has previously worked as the model’s go-to makeup artist.
Parsons will be working across Maybelline’s large portfolio, creating looks for campaigns and marketing materials, as well as working at New York Fashion Week.
Parsons is a former assistant to Pat McGrath, and was quoted by WWD as saying, “I don’t want to see the standard look all the time that I think we’re getting used to seeing in some areas – the Instagram makeup look and the [no-makeup makeup] look that happens quite often in high fashion.”
Expect to see some hyper-creative looks from Maybelline moving forward, as Parsons bring her signature edginess to the brand.
