Priceline Pharmacy finds women stuck in rut

Australian beauty giant Priceline Pharmacy has launched its ‘Find Your Beautiful’ campaign in an effort to encourage women to update their beauty and health routines. The retailer was inspired by a recent study undertaken by the company that discovered Australian women consider themselves to be in a rut, with 97 per cent confirming they follow the same beauty routine day after day.

The study further cemented the important role beauty products play in daily lives – with 59 per cent commenting that they typically use beauty products to feel more confident. Additionally, 96 per cent said there was at least one beauty product they could not live without, with 46 per cent confirming this was moisturiser, and only 13 per cent admitting foundation.

Wellbeing was also under analysis, with 63 per cent experiencing poor nutrition, 63 per cent insufficiently active, and one in three women considered overweight or obese.

Priceline Pharmacy make-up director Rae Morris insists the campaign is designed to encourage gentle improvements rather than extreme overhauls. “We’re not talking drastic look and diet make-overs, a few small adjustments to the daily routine can affect everything from how you feel about yourself to the amount of sleep you’re getting.”

But health is a sector growing in focus with Priceline releasing its top 10 selling health products, which included supplements Biosource Odourless Fish Oil 1000mg + Omega 3, Swisse Ultiboost Liver Detox, Swisse Ultiboost Hair Skin Nails, Swisse Ultiboost High Strength Cranberry, Nu Lax Fruit Block, Blackmores Odourless Fish Oil, alongside Panadol Rapid Handipak, Nurofen Zavance Tablets, Panadol Rapid 20 caplets, and Nurofen Zavance Capsules.

In addition, the store’s top 10 selling beauty products include Lucas’ Papaw Ointment 25g, Dove Beauty Cream Bar, Bondi Sands Self Tanning Foam in Dark, Sukin Facial Moisturiser, Australis AC On Tour Contouring & Highlighting Kit, Manicare Fashion Nail Shapers, Maybelline Master Precise Liner, Simple Cleansing Wipes Twin Pack, Nude By Nature Mineral Cover, and Garnier Micellar Water.
