Balmain x L'Oréal Paris campaign revealed

The campaign for Balmain’s Colour Riche Lipstick line in collaboration with L’Oréal Paris has released its ad campaign and product images.

Shot by Nico Bustos and featuring 12 diverse top models in the line’s lipsticks, the campaign is meant to reflect “three tribes of L’Oréal Paris and Balmain Paris femininity”; and aims to “send a message of diversity and female empowerment,” according to a joint statement from the brands.

Balmain creative director Olivier Rousteing spoke with Harper’s Bazaar UK further about the collaboration and campaign choice, stating: "The Balmain girl and the L'Oréal girl are very similar.

“We believe in the same things. We believe in strong women, in diversity and in the next generation, but at the same time, we both also believe in couture and luxury. I also think of L'Oréal as a brand that is all about personality and confidence and that very much aligns with our message too."

The collection itself is a 12 piece lipstick collection, with three different themes throughout: Rock, Couture and Glamazon. Further speaking on the range of colours, Rousteing added "No matter your age or your colour, I wanted you to be represented in this line”.

The collection will launch late September. L’Oréal has confirmed the collection will be available in Australia in the first half of 2018.
