Alya Skin has been sold

Australian skincare brand Alya Skin, famous for its pink clay mask, has been acquired by industry veteran and leading Australian distributor, Frostbland Pty Ltd.

The insta-famous Aussie brand, founded by Manny Barbas and James Hachem, has amassed an impressive one million+ following on social media and quickly became an internet sensation with the launch of its innovative Australian Pink Clay Mask.

Today, with over 500,000 happy customers, $40 million in revenue and ranged in over 3,000 stockists worldwide, Alya Skin provides a full regime of cleansers, exfoliators, moisturisers and treatment products.

"James and I started off in our humble 2 x 2 meter office. We put in the work required to grow a globally recognised brand," said Alya Skin co-founder, Manny Barbas.

"Partnering with Frostbland was one of the best business decisions we made, catapulting our growth in Australia. We have thoroughly enjoyed working with the management team at Frostbland - not only are they experts in the field but they are also great people with great values and immediately were aligned with our vision - both of which are very important to us."

"We're excited to see where they are going to take the brand and look forward to seeing further growth of Alya Skin for many years to come," said Barbas.

Established in 1949, privately owned Frostbland has a rich history in distribution and marketing. The company is known for its success with launching category leading brands and innovative brands through retail including Batiste, Ardell, Bondi Sands, Lano and Bondi Boost, to name but a few.

Frostbland were appointed exclusive distributor for Alya Skin, just months after launching online and have grown the brands retail strategy since inception.

"As a part of our long-term strategy, we plan to increase revenue via brands that we own, complementing our traditional distribution business representing brand owners," said Frostbland executive chairman, Uri Ferster.

"Following an excellent relationship with the co-founders of Alya Skin, when it became apparent that they were considering an exit, we were extremely excited to purchase the brand and write the next chapter in Alya Skin’s growth and develop its future."

"Alya Skin has an impressive social and digital reach and brings Frostbland new opportunities in export markets and brand growth," said Ferster.
