Boutique PR and marketing agency Brand New Solutions has this week announced it is relaunching as The 6AM Agency. As part of the rejuvenation, the firm has also partnered with industry leader Chris Savage, who was previously COO of STW Group, and will help bring the brand into a new era of marketing and communications. BD chatted to The 6AM Agency director Gill Fish about what the future holds for the business.
What inspired the relaunch?
Brand New Solutions was founded in 2002 with PR core to its offering and with a goal of tapping into the preventive health and wellbeing revolution which was gathering pace at the time, emerging as a new force in the world. Brand New Solutions soon established itself as a leader in wellbeing communications, working with local and international brands and experts across health and beauty.
Since those early days we have seen the advent of social and the rapid evolution of the communications landscape, with the focus now firmly on data, creative content, social across earned and owned and influencer engagement, coupled with a clear shift from brand-focussed to audience-focussed thinking, with authentic and emotionally connecting communications.
As such, we felt that the time was right to rejuvenate the brand to mark this new era of communications – The 6AM Agency is all about being one step ahead. It is about alertness, creativity and action. It is in the moment, every hour, every day. It is where agencies need to be to service their clients with agility, innovation and success.
What changes can we expect to see going forward?
The launch of The 6AM Agency brings opportunity to deepen our service offering in wellbeing, further leveraging data, content and social opportunities to form long-term ongoing conversations and trusted advisor relationships with audiences.
The launch also marks a moment of extension of our reach into the good living sector, to those brands who fall naturally under a wellbeing / good life proposition. Core to this agency growth strategy is the recruitment of Australia’s top talent across PR, digital [and] creative, providing a brilliant opportunity for those who are excited about communications and want to work on winning campaigns in a workplace that values innovation, passion, agility and most importantly, authenticity and integrity.
What part will Chris Savage play in the company and how do you plan to tap into his expertise?
Chris Savage is acknowledged as one of Asia Pacific’s leading communications growth experts, with a 25+ year career in Public Relations before being appointed COO of STW Group, Australasia’s leading marketing content and communications group. Since retiring from STW in February 2015, Chris launched The Savage Co, so he could focus all his energies on his passion – helping leaders accelerate growth and achieving their full potential. I am honoured and humbled to have Chris as a partner and our Chairman at The 6AM Agency.
Chris’ exceptional knowledge and expertise in growing communications agencies with an astute understanding of the marketing landscape, communications trends and industry connections brings high level thinking and opportunity which will form a foundation for growth, inspiration and excellence to all stakeholders in the agency – clients and the team.
What brands will you be looking after?
We are proud to work with some of Australia’s leading wellbeing and good living brands including Blackmores, Burt’s Bees, Huon Salmon among others, both local and international across health, beauty and lifestyle and we look forward to expanding our portfolio as we take this next step in growth.
Do you plan on expanding anymore into the health and beauty market?
Absolutely, we are always seeking new opportunities, new brands, new partners to work with. The market is forever evolving with new products, new services and new ways to communicate. As experts in the field of wellbeing and good living communications, this is what drives the team at The 6AM Agency day to day.
