Beiersdorf has announced Stefan Heidenreich will become the company’s next CEO in 2012.
Replacing Thomas Quaas at the head of the company, Heidenreich will take up his appointment to the executive board on January 1, 2012 before beginning his role of CEO on April 26 following the company’s annual general meeting.
Heidenreich has 15 years experience leading an international branded goods company. He has held the position of CEO at the Heat Group since 2002, with previous roles at Procter & Gamble and Unilever.
Heidenreich’s appointment gives a fresh leader to a fresh strategy and he will start from a position of hope and credibility with investors,” reveals Sanford C. Bernstein analyst Andrew Wood.
Heidenreich says, I have great respect for how Beiersdorf has developed its NIVEA brand into the world’s largest skin care brand, and I am looking forward to leading this fascinating company into the future together with all of its employees.”
