Coty hasn’t been sitting on its laurels since delaying its initial public offering, with the company further increasing its bench strength with the announcement of Jean Mortier as president of Coty Prestige.
Mortier succeeds Michele Scannavini, who became CEO of Coty in July, and has a strong background with the company having previously been in the role as commercial senior vice president since 2005, according to WWD.
Jean’s strong retailer partnerships, his focus on growth and his understanding of the dynamics of consolidated and emerging markets will be key assets in moving Coty toward the next stage of our success,” says Scannavini. He has established fantastic and constructive relationships throughout the entire organisation and is a role model of our ‘Faster. Further. Freer.’ culture.”
In an interview, Mortier revealed he would be focusing on continuing developing global power brands” with lots of new innovation on the cards.
