For the first time ever, a tech beauty brand is fully integrating with Uber.
bgX, a new beauty tech company, is partnering with the ride-sharing service to connect professional hair salons to consumers.
The service was founded in Dubai by Ali Rafi and Paria Ghorashi in order to provide salon styling to people at home and work.
Speaking with Cosmetics Business, Gorashi said of the new service: “Nowdays customers are demanding immediate services via their mobile apps and there is a huge demand for beauty services to be delivered in this way.
“Customers will be able to book a stylist to their home or office directly from their smartphone. The platform will provide a convenience and fast service for busy people on the go.
“We expect delivery of all kinds of high quality services immediately and transparently via our mobile phones - whether it be food delivery, transport or parcels - and beauty is no different.”
The service will initially roll-out across Dubai, London and Paris, with further global expansion expected later on.
