The beauty world bids adieu to Sisley’s founder


's founding father Count Hubert d’Ornano passed away late last week at the age of 89. The French skincare company is renowned for its luxurious skincare and remaining 100 per cent family owned since its creation in 1976.

The life of the brand’s founder was certainly an interesting one - as the son of Lancôme cofounder Guillaume d'Ornano, Hubert d’Ornano was not only cosmetics royalty but married to a Polish royal. His colourful story was recorded in a memoir, Boundless Beauty, which explored his history, family and never-ending passion for the Sisley brand.
