Is Rihanna launching another beauty brand?

With some best selling beauty brands already under her belt (and not to mention an amazing singing career), Rihanna has cemented herself as a symbol of inclusion, quality and marketability over the last few years.

And according to a recent trademark filed by Rihanna, ‘Fenty Hair’ could soon be on its way to joining the Fenty family. Submitted to the US Patent and Trademark Office earlier this month, the filings cover product categories such as hair care preparation, hair colouring, dandruff shampoo, straightening tools, and hair glitter.

Although Rihanna has not confirmed the news, trademark filings are almost always a clear giveaway when it comes to upcoming projects. JLo Beauty, for instance, was one brand that filed a trademark before launching, as well as celebs such as Selena Gomez, Kylie Jenner, Kim Kardashian West and more.

Rihanna herself also filed trademark applications before launching her cult beauty brands, Fenty Beauty and Fenty Skin. Launched back in 2020 and 2017, respectively, these brands have triggered many shopping frenzies among fans. They are both also renowned for paving the way when it comes to inclusivity and quality in the beauty world.

With the entrepreneur recently becoming the first Black woman to own a cosmetics brand valued at $1 billion, venturing into the hair category seems like the next natural progression in her impressive career.
