Napoleon wraps up NYFW 2011

Napoleon Perdis has wrapped up his work as a make-up creative director at New York Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. The Fall 2011 shows have occurred over the past week, with Napoleon and his creative team working on a massive 10 runway shows - double the number he did last year.

The Napoleon brand launched in the USA only four years ago, and has made its mark on the fashion world. This season saw Napoleon and his team of Australian-based creative artists work for a range of labels with different visions and styles including Elise Overland who staged what was possibly the most outlandish show: putting her models on skates and having them parade in the Standard Hotel's ice rink.

Napoleon also made up models for the new darling of fashion, Kaelen Farcombe's label Kaelen, Nicholas K, Duckie Brown, Victor de Souza, Kaelen, Venexiana, Elise Overland, Maisonette 1977, Timo Weiland, What Goes Around Comes Around and GUiSHEM by Guillermo Jop, which was the make-up man's last show.

What Goes Around Comes Around went for a 70s vibe with tousled hair and smoky eyes.

Venexiana went for OTT glamour and impact with the longest lashes and reddest lips.

Maisonette 1977 went for dark eye and nude lips to express their tough feminine look.

Kaelen is touted as the one to watch. Napoleon used an earthy, natural-toned palette on a flawless base.

The great outdoors came to New York for Nicholas K's runway show.
