Look Good Feel Better Australia is excited to announce that its Style For Cancer initiative is back for the second year – a campaign designed to unite the beauty, grooming and styling industries as a force for good.
Style For Cancer raises vital funds for the Look Good Feel Better program, while providing industry professionals with education and resources to support clients undergoing cancer treatment in a more confident and compassionate way.
The initiative is open to both consumers, referred to as Style Seekers, and professionals, known as Style Makers.

Style Makers who register to participate receive access to information on common side effects of cancer treatment and guidance on compassionate communication. They are also provided with in-salon promotional materials and a listing in the national Style Maker directory.
This directory connects Style Seekers with salons and service providers who understand the unique challenges faced during cancer treatment – giving them confidence that they are choosing businesses actively supporting the work of Look Good Feel Better.
"Having 35 years of incredible knowledge behind us, when looking at the Australian beauty, grooming and style industries, we saw an opportunity to make salon appointments less daunting and more comfortable for those undergoing life altering treatments," said Look Good Feel Better general manager, Carol Kavurma.
"Everybody deserves to feel excited and uplifted after a trip to the hairdresser, nail salon or when sitting in the makeup chair – it’s the whole premise of the Look Good Feel Better program – and those undergoing cancer treatment are no different."

Salon HER founder and creative director, Michael Kelly said the initiative brings much-needed change to the industry.
"I think language and the wholistic therapy side of the conversation could improve. Not everyone has the resources to be able to hold space for another human in a very vulnerable stage of their life," said Kelly.
"Style For Cancer is an obvious cause for me to be part of as I have lost family members I love to cancer, I’ve had family members recover from cancer, and I’ve supported clients who I care for deeply through some of their darkest days. It’s an initiative close to my heart."
Style Makers can register for a tax-deductible donation of $89 and are encouraged to run fundraising activities from August 1st, 2025. Directory listings and registration are open year-round.
Join Style for Cancer and be provided with the educational resources you need to support clients as they navigate cancer diagnosis and treatment. Every $100 raised allows one person to access the Look Good Feel Better program completely free of charge.
