In just under one week, Australia’s leading online shopping event Click Frenzy is returning -– and this time the only drama customers are set to experience is not being able to stop clicking.
Last November saw the launch of Australia’s first landmark national online sales event, however, it had a controversial beginning with the site crashing under the strain of serving one in 10 Australians online in the first few minutes.
But while the team at Click Frenzy may have been unprepared for the volume last year, this year they’ve been working hard to make sure there are no repeat dramas.
That fateful day is well behind us, and the coverage of the crash drew attention away from the true story of Click Frenzy – that it was Australia's biggest day of online shopping. We've listened, we've learned and we have been working extremely hard to put right any wrongs,” says a spokesperson for Click Frenzy.
Despite its stuttered launch in 2012, sales still exceeded those received in the boxing day sales by 37 per cent, according to IBM statistics.
