Gritty Pretty appoints new sustainability editor

Gritty Pretty has announced the appointment of Lottie Dalziel as the digital magazine’s sustainability editor.

A passionate advocate for helping Australians reduce their waste with trusted products and better information, Dalziel will write a monthly column for GrittyPretty.com.au as part of her appointment. Dalziel will also consult on all editions of the digital magazine.

“I am really looking forward to working with the Gritty Pretty team as sustainability editor to educate and empower their audience to make more sustainable beauty choices,” said Dalziel.

“The term sustainability is so broad, it is thrown around often with little thought and integrity. My role is to help the Gritty Pretty community understand what sustainability in the beauty industry means—from what they should be looking for in products, to the packaging it comes in and the brands that are leading the way.”

“One of the most exciting projects we've worked on together so far was the launch of the Conscious Codes to help guide the audience to more conscious decisions with ease.”

The appointment follows the launch of Gritty Pretty’s Conscious Codes in June this year that helps readers identify whether a brand or product meets one of the six ecological factors.

“I am delighted that Lottie has joined the Gritty Pretty team. Sustainability is a very broad and complex issue but never before has it been so important to do our bit to help the community to make informed decisions,” said Gritty Pretty founder and editor-in-chief, Eleanor Pendleton.

“It is something I know our readers want to know more about.”
