Carmex reinvents iconic jar

Carmex has reinvented its iconic yellow-lidded lip balm jar, making it more environmentally friendly. The bottom of the jar is now more concave, using 20 per cent less plastic in every jar and saving 35 tonnes of waste annually.

The amount of Carmex lip balm in each jar remains the same at 7.5g.

Amanda Miller of Biccari Holdings, the Australian distributor of Carmex says the reduction in packaging is a really positive step for the brand. This greener and therefore leaner Carmex jar also represents 35 tonnes saved in freight shipping, which drastically reduces the amount of fuel needed to transport the jars,” Miller explains.
