The new hair innovation praised by experts

Eco-friendly hair line, O’Right, has revealed that its green aspirations now extend beyond product ingredients to its packaging - with product bottles being turned into a tree after use.

The innovative brand produces hair care that incorporates the recycled grounds collected from coffee shops in Taiwan. The resulting oil is said to be full of antioxidants, replenishing moisture and offering heat protection to hair.

Now its product packaging boasts a similarly green mantra, with seeds embedded into the bottom of every bottle. This means that once all its contents have been used and the bottle is planted in soil, a tree will sprout from the decomposing packaging within one to two months.

Analysts have applauded the range for being innovative, with Datamonitor consumer Tom Vierhile telling Cosmetics Design that the brand’s green strategies are not only ambitious but impressive. He says: “[the range is] a very clever way to integrate recycled ingredients”. He continues that O’Right’s dedication to being eco-friendly is “far beyond the ordinary.”

O’Right is available in Australia.
